I am a 30 year old female who was diagnosed with C. Diff at age 26. I struggled with C. Diff. for 6 months and suffered 4 "outbreaks" which resulted in hospitalization. I was very sick and in a great deal of pain. For more information about my symptoms and treatments, please read my case study.

I learned that I must be my own advocate when it comes to my body and my health. I had to be responsible for asking the right questions, demanding the correct tests and researching the various techniques for healing this disease and regaining a healthy intestinal environment.

Because I have been on and off of antibiotics much of my life, I was predisposed and hihgly susceptible for catching this disease. My body had enough and it was time to heal and rebuild my immune system so I don't have to rely on anitbiotics in the future.

Obviously everyone's body and circumstances are different but the best thing you can do is increase your knowledge base about this disease to find out what works for you.

If you are suffering from C. Difficile right now, no matter what your treatment, stop eating refined sugar, canned food, processed food, wheat and dairy products and start drinking plain bottled water (with electrolytes added if available), taking refrigerated acidophilus, eating steamed fresh vegetables and try some plain soy yogurt, and brown rice. These things helped my diarrhea stop and now I have started slowly adding back the things I eliminated from my diet. I know how miserable you are feeling and I would love to hear from you.

If you or someone you know is suffering from C. Difficile, don't lose hope, knowledge is power. Let's learn together. Please visit my website to send me an e-mail at www.keely.net.
